About QR code generator
This tool builds standard QR codes locally in your browser using the industry‑common encoding libraries. You can encode arbitrary text or URLs, generate a Wi‑Fi Droid/iOS‑compatible WIFI: string, or a minimal vCard. Error correction level, module size, quiet zone (margin), and dark/light colors are adjustable; the preview updates as you type. Images are rendered to PNG for download or clipboard copy where your browser supports it.
Key Features
- Modes: free text / URL, Wi‑Fi (WPA/WEP/open), and vCard (name, org, phone, email, URL)
- Error correction levels L / M / Q / H
- Width up to 1024 px, adjustable quiet zone, custom dark and light colors
- Download PNG and copy PNG to clipboard (when supported)
- Live preview and optional “encoded payload” panel for debugging
- Runs entirely in the browser — content is not sent to our servers
Use Cases
- Print a QR for your landing page on a slide or poster
- Let guests join Wi‑Fi without typing the password
- Share a contact block at events from a vCard QR
- Embed payment or app-store links in packaging
Pro Tips
- Higher error correction (Q/H) survives print damage but increases density — use M for most screens.
- Very long URLs need a larger module count; if generation fails, shorten the URL or lower correction level.
- For dark backgrounds in print, swap dark/light colors so scanners see enough contrast.
- Wi‑Fi QR strings follow the de‑facto WIFI: scheme; some old scanners may not support WPA3 labels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my data sent to a server?
No. QR rendering runs in your browser. We do not receive the text you encode.
Can I use a logo in the center?
Not in this version — center logos require careful margin design. Use high error correction (H) if you add artwork in an image editor after export.
Are vCard fields complete?
This page generates a small vCard 3.0 subset suitable for QR scanning. For full contact schemas, export from your contacts app.
